The ISS reported that the service will now be carried out “by submitting a document proving ownership of the bank account at the Social Security in-person customer service desks”.
However, Social Security guarantees that it is working with the Institute of Informatics to reinforce security in this process.
“The ISS informed the Judicial Police of the occurrence of these situations, advising the citizens/beneficiaries concerned to file a complaint with the police authorities, as well as to keep digital security up to date on all their equipment, preventing its abusive use”.
Injured parties will have access to compensation.
The ISS also assured that it will take measures to mitigate the situation of the beneficiaries who were affected by the scam.
Injured parties will receive “financial support”. To do so, they will have to comply with a procedure to determine the type and value of the benefit that has not been received.
