Twelve districts in mainland Portugal will be under yellow warning today and Thursday due to the forecast of showers, which may sometimes be heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

In the districts of Porto, Faro, Santarém, Leiria, Beja, Aveiro and Coimbra, the warning will be in effect between 12pm today and midnight on Thursday.
The districts of Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Castelo Branco and Portalegre will be under the warning between 12:00 today and 00:00 on Thursday and then between 12:00 on Thursday and 00:00 on Friday.
