The districts of Viseu, Évora, Guarda, Castelo Branco and Portalegre will be under a yellow warning between 12pm today and midnight on Friday.
The yellow warning for Faro and Beja will be in effect between 12pm today and 12pm on Friday.
The IPMA also issued a yellow warning due to the rain, which can be heavy at times, for the Azores archipelago.
On the islands of Flores and Corvo, which make up the Western group of the archipelago, the yellow warning for “rainfall at times heavy, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms”, is valid between 3pm local time (4pm in Lisbon) today and 12 a.m. Friday.
For the Central group (islands of Faial, Pico, São Jorge, Graciosa and Terceira) the same warning is in effect from 9pm today to 12pm on Friday.
On the islands of São Miguel and Santa Maria, which make up the Eastern Azorean group, the yellow warning for “sometimes heavy” precipitation will be active between 03:00 on Friday and 00:00 on Saturday.
