The 5G-ROUTES project has been able to extend coverage to up to 10 kilometres from the coastline, a first step in solving the challenge of maritime data transmission.

The system integrates pubic 5G networks, private 5G networks between ships, and satellite connections, providing a flexible solution that offers maritime operators a cost-effective way to boost operational efficiency and passenger experience.
