According to a report by ECO, Mercedes-Benz.io, the German
manufacturer's subsidiary for the development of technological marketing and
sales solutions, has announced the opening of a new office in Parque das
Nações. The company, which already has more than 300 workers in Portugal, is now
recruiting another 140 and guarantees that it will continue to invest in the
country.
It was five years ago in May that Mercedes-Benz.io announced
its commitment to Portugal for the location of its new center of excellence in
engineering. A project that enters a new stage with the move to the new office
at Torre Zen, in Parque das Nações, in Lisbon.
“In May 2017 my team and I announced the opening here in
Portugal. We knew that Lisbon was the place to be in the digital world. And
five years later, Lisbon and Portugal are the places to be and where we want to
be”, said Sabine Scheunert, vice president of Digital & IT Marketing and
Sales at Mercedes-Benz Cars.
“Our presence in Portugal will continue to grow. We will
continue to hire in the areas of software, design, data and analytics, and IT
operations. This only reaffirms our conviction that Portugal is a country where
we want to continue investing”, added the official.
