The company will open the supermarket in Taguspark, in Oeiras, on December 15, therefore closing the year with 39 establishments in Portugal.

"This is the last of the ten supermarkets that the company proposed to open this year, ending 2022 with 39 stores in the districts of Porto, Braga, Aveiro, Viana do Castelo, Setúbal, Santarém, Viseu, Leiria, and Lisbon", according to NM.

Mercadona has hired around 65 employees for this supermarket, who are currently undergoing training.

They have ended the year with a team of 2,500 employees and an investment in Portugal of €110 million, according to published data.
