António Mendonça Mendes, who was Secretary of State for Tax
Affairs, was the first to be sworn in. He left Fernando Medina's ministry and
will be Deputy Secretary of State for the Prime Minister, after the
controversial resignation of Miguel Alves.
In the sphere of the Ministry of Finance, João Nuno Mendes
will now assume duties as Secretary of State for Finance. Until today he was
Secretary of State for the Treasury.
Alexandra Reis, replaces João Nuno Mendes as Secretary of
State for the Treasury.
Nuno Félix replaces António Mendonça Mendes and is the new
Secretary of State for Tax Affairs.
Fernando Medina's team now has four Secretaries of State,
with Sofia Batalha remaining as Secretary of State for the Budget.
After the dismissal of the two Secretaries of State under
the Ministry of Economy, António Costa Silva now has Pedro Cilínio as Secretary
of State for the Economy, replacing João Neves, and Nuno Fazenda with Tourism,
Commerce and Services, replacing by Rita Marques.
The inauguration began a few minutes after 12:00 and lasted
less than 10 minutes, with the usual greetings at the end from Marcelo Rebelo
de Sousa and António Costa to those inducted.
