In comparative terms, the GDP of the United States maintained, between July and September, the same rhythm of increase (1.8%). On a chain basis, that is, compared to the previous quarter, the North American economy grew by 0.6%, while in the euro it stood at 0.2%.

According to data released by Eurostat, Portugal was the second country with the highest growth in year-on-year terms (4.9%) in this period, among the 19 that adopted the European currency, only surpassed by Cyprus (5.4 %). Only Latvia saw this indicator decline (-0.4%) in the quarter.
