The Prime Minister, António Costa, has dismissed the Secretary of State for the Economy, João Neves, for "fundamental differences" with the Minister of Economy, António Costa Silva, according to Jornal de Negócios.

In addition to João Neves, the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques, is also to leave the Government.
