Bernardo Ivo Cruz, told Lusa that the Forum will take place
in the first half of 2023 in the UK, resuming an event that was interrupted by
the Covid-19 pandemic.
Five years ago, the Forum took place in London and was
attended by the Prime Minister, António Costa, who at the time was also
received by his then British counterpart, Theresa May, at the official
residence, in Downing Street.
This second edition, said Ivo Cruz, "will be dedicated
to innovation and innovation initiatives” and will be a “high-level meeting”
with the representation of governments, companies, universities and
associations.
The objective is "to think together how we can work
more and deepen the relationship between Portugal and the United Kingdom in
companies, universities, civil society organizations and governments to
reinforce this leadership role that Portugal and the United Kingdom these areas
are more about innovation and more about technology and sustainability,” he
told Lusa.
