“I presume it arrives [diploma] between the 6th and 10th of January and no more than that”, said Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa during a visit to Murça, in the district of Vila Real.

Accompanied on this visit by the Minister of Internal Administration, the head of state said that when the diploma arrives in Belém “he will deal with this matter”.

The President of the Republic recalled that a plenary session is scheduled for January 4th to consider an appeal introduced by a party in the Assembly of the Republic.

On December 23, Chega announced that it was going to appeal to the plenary session the decision of the President of the Assembly of the Republic to reject the claim for inaccuracies in the decree on medically assisted death.

The next plenary session is scheduled for January 4.
