The INE report found that at the end of 2022, the average
salary in activities related to agriculture, animal production, hunting,
forestry and fishing was 933 euros, the lowest among the different types of
activity.
At the other end of the scale were jobs in electricity, gas,
steam, hot and cold water, and cold air activities, the average remuneration was
€3,521, almost four times more.
The INE report also highlights that, in December 2022,
compared to the same month in 2021, the smallest increases in average wages
were observed in Public Administration and Defense activities and in
agriculture, animal production, hunting, forestry, and fishing.
Accommodation, catering and similar activities and
information and communication saw the greatest growth. Even so, there were
decreases in the real average salary in all economic activities, mainly in
Public Administration, whose decrease reached 8.8%.
Another possible angle of analysis is that, in the last month of 2022, companies with between one and four employees recorded an average monthly salary of 1,027 euros, while companies with 250 to 499 employees paid, on average, 1,909 euros.
