“We propose that on the 2nd, all districts in the country from Coimbra to the north strike at all services and all day long, with a large demonstration of teachers in the city of Porto, and that on the 3rd, all teachers in the district of Leiria south to strike and we have a new huge national demonstration here in the city of Lisbon”, said Mário Nogueira

Mário Nogueira indicated that the next negotiations with the Government are scheduled for Wednesday and Friday, so that during the next week, “across the country, in all schools”, there will be a “week of mourning and struggle for the profession”, with the placement of “black bands” in school establishments.

Fenprof's general secretary also announced an initiative that he dubbed “4D” which consists of “four days of democratic debate, for the dignification of teaching” on the 23rd, 24th, 27th, and 28th of this month.
