About 11,000 questionnaires on 5 April have begun to be delivered, with questionnaires expected to begin to be completed on 19 April at censos2021.ine.pt
Until 3 May, citizens can also answer questionnaires via the Internet or through alternative means made available by the National Statistics Institute (INE), which include the phone number 210 542 021.
Answers can also be given at the parish councils' e-counters or by filling out paper questionnaires that census takers will begin to deliver from 31 May, complying with public health safety protocols.
A census, which happens every 10 years, is the procedure of systematically enumerating, and recording information about the population: Who live, how they live, among others. This also helps to guide public policies.
