The IPMA placed the districts of Aveiro, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Leiria, Santarém, Lisbon, Portalegre, Setúbal, Évora, Beja and Faro and the islands of Porto Santo and Faial at very high risk.
The districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Vila Real, Bragança, Viseu and Coimbra and the islands of Madeira, São Miguel, Terceira and Flores, in the Azores, are at high risk of UV exposure today.
For regions with very high risk, IPMA advises the use of sunglasses with UV filter, hat, 't-shirt', umbrella, sunscreen and avoid exposure of children to the sun.
