“In Portugal, the vaccination plan and priorities are defined by the technical task force, which defined health professionals with the first priority group and the second priority group for people hospitalised or residing in nursing homes and it is with satisfaction that we can have today the certainty that by the end of next week we will have guaranteed the total vaccination of all people residing in nursing homes or those working there”, he said, speaking at a press conference at the European Parliament (EP) in Brussels.

“Over the course of these months, we have all learned from each other and I am sure that the Portuguese technical committee will also take into account the recommendations of the European Commission and assess whether this implies a review of the criteria”, he stressed, also warning that it is necessary to have taking into account the quantity of vaccine doses available.
