The new easyJet route between Lisbon and Athens will have
three flights a week and is not the only new route announced by the company,
which also announced the start of a daily route between Porto and Paris -Orly,
which kicks off on March 26.
“These routes come in addition to the routes already
announced, totalling 27 new routes for the summer of 2023”, highlights the
airline in the press release.
Additionally, easyJet also increased capacity between Porto
and Funchal, in Madeira, where the airline now has 22,300 seats, which
corresponds to a 40% growth compared to the summer of 2022.
"This increase translates into a weekly frequency of 17
flights between the two destinations, for the summer of 2023", highlights easyJet,
underlining that, with these increases, the airline's capacity increases by 58%
in Lisbon, 21 % in Porto and 32% in Funchal compared to the summer of 2022.
“easyJet shows once again that it is close to its passengers and that they are the priority. The summer news is the result of our enormous desire to provide an attractive and surprising offer, as is the case with our first direct connection to Athens, from Lisbon airport. We are ahead of the market and this is only possible because of the trust that our passengers place in us and that encourages us to always do more and better”, said José Lopes, country manager of easyJet in Portugal.
