According to the Hindustan Times website, the suspect travelled
to at least three countries in the last five years with this document.
The man also confessed that he travelled to the UK in 2010
on a student visa and that, "for a long time", he stayed there
working illegally.
In 2018, he managed to travel to Portugal, where he bought a
fake passport that allowed him to travel to other countries. With that document, he not only returned to India without any problems but travelled to France and
back to the UK. The authorities suspect that he may have made other trips.
In the passport, the suspect was identified as Sultan Fakir
Mohammed.
The man was caught on Wednesday on his way back from Paris
after his passport was flagged as a fake.
