According to the statement from the Navy, the forecast “points to a considerable worsening of weather conditions and maritime agitation in the Azores archipelago today, and until the end of the day on Tuesday”.

Winds are expected from the northwest, with an average intensity of up to 55 kilometres per hour and gusts of up to 100 kilometres.

The Navy warns of the care to be taken, both in preparation for a trip to sea, and when at sea or in coastal areas, strengthening the mooring and keeping a close watch on moored and anchored vessels.
