According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), from 23:00 today, the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Leiria and Lisbon will be under the orange warning.

The warning extends until 16:00 on Thursday, then lowers one level, to yellow, until at least 19:00 on Friday.

The information provided in the IPMA notices indicates that northwest waves up to 11 metres are foreseen for these districts.
