Tuesday, 8 February – Let’s Walk to the abandoned village near Esteval dos Mouro

A beautiful walk through this unknown area of just over 2 hours and fairly easy, one gentle climb!

10.00 am start – meet at the entrance to the village of Esteval dos Mouros. Take the EN270 from EN125 from Albufeira towards Messines. You pass through Purgatorio continuing north and after about 2km turn right to Ribeira de Alte. Drive through the village and then follow the signs for Lentiscais. Continue through Lentiscais and 2km further along the road you come to a junction – turn right and you will see the village sign of Esteval dos Mouros. Sean 926 558 751


Friday, February 11 - Let’s walk from S Romão, Loulé / SB Alportel

A walk of almost 3 hours through totally unspoilt countryside awash with spring flowers. Moderately easy, there are some stony tracks.
10.00 am start meet at the cafe Correia in S Romão. Drive to Loulé and then follow the signs for São Brás de Alportel (the EN270). Drive towards Sao Bras and after 8km you have a turn to the left for S Romão & Querenca. Turn and drive up through the hamlet until you come to a crossroads and the cafe is on the right (car park opposite). Julie 965 753 033
