According to the District Command for Relief Operations (CDOS) in Faro, the alert for the accident was given at 01:44.

“The accident caused a fatality, the only occupant of the light vehicle, whose death was declared at the scene,” said the same source.

Traffic was stopped in the area of the accident in both directions on the EN125 until around 5:45 am.
