Ronaldo is part of the list of 26 players called up by Fernando Santos, in which the main surprise is the inclusion of central defender António Silva, a 19-year-old Benfica player who had never been called up to the main team.

The Manchester United forward is preparing to play in the fifth finals of a World Cup, after having participated in 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018, in which he accumulated 17 games and seven goals.

The final stage of the 2022 World Cup will take place in Qatar, from November 20 to December 18, and Portugal is part of Group H, facing successively Ghana (November 24), Uruguay (28) and South Korea (December 2).
