According to information released by the Mercan Properties
Group, the project foresees an investment of 107.8 million euros in the remodelling
of the buildings that will be the hotels, which will integrate a development
with a gross construction area of approximately 23,000 m2.
For the Mercan Properties Group, this development “is a
unique project in this Algarve city by integrating two hotels with different
concepts”, specifically the Lagos Marina Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton,
which will have 180 rooms spread over four floors, and the Hilton Garden Inn Lagos, which will have 90 rooms, 27 of which will be converted into suites with kitchenette.
“The agreement signed with Hilton is a sign of the development
and interest that the city of Lagos has aroused, asserting itself more and more
as a distinct place, capable of combining superb natural landscapes with a rich
historical and cultural heritage. This project also represents a winning bet
for Grupo Mercan Properties”, said Jordi Vilanova, President of Mercan
Properties, in a report by Publituris.
The agreement signed between the Mercan Properties Group and
Hilton is the third that the two entities have established, after the
partnership which resulted in the recent opening of the Sé Catedral HotelPorto, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and the future opening of the Hilton
Garden Inn Évora.
In addition to the 180 rooms, the Lagos Marina Hotel, Curio
Collection by Hilton will also have a restaurant and two bars, one of which
will be located on a terrace with an infinity pool.
The Hilton Garden Inn Lagos, which will provide affordable
accommodation, will have rooms and suites with high-comfort kitchenettes, as
well as a multifunctional lobby with a bar, restaurant, and a 24-hour
self-service shop, as well as a gym and outdoor pool.
The hotels will also have spaces for meetings and events, as
well as more than 160 parking spaces shared between them.
