The main measures announced by the Prime Minister follow:
Closure of schools
All schools at all levels of education are closed for 15 days from Friday. The 15 days will be compensated later.
Parents of children under the age of 12 will be entitled to justified absences from work and a support similar to that which applied in March last year during the first confinement.
Education for children with special educational needs is not interrupted.
Foster schools for children under 12 years of age whose parents work in essential services are still in operation.
Food support continues to be provided to children who benefit from School Social Action.
Commissions for the protection of children and young people at risk continue to operate.
Closure of crèches and ATL
The crèches and free time workshops are closed from Friday and for a fortnight.
Universities can adjust evaluation calendar
In the context of university autonomy, universities should take the appropriate measures, taking into account that some establishments are in evaluations, and may readjust this timetable of evaluations.
Closing of courts
The courts of first instance close for a fortnight, except for urgent procedural acts.
Closure of Lojas do Cidadão
Citizens' shops are closed from Friday onwards, and other public services are only available by appointment.
