According to the “Monthly Estimates of Employment and Unemployment” released on 31 May by the National Statistics Institute (INE), in March, the unemployed population decreased 3 percent in relation to February 2021, having increased 4.9 percent compared to March 2020.

The unemployment rate, according to the concept of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), stood at 6.6 percent, 0.2 percentage points less than in the previous month and 0.3 percentage points more than in the previous year.
