During the Olympics, the inclusion in IndieLisboa of "Les Sorcières de l'orient", a French production by Julien Faraut recalls the athletes of the Japanese volleyball team, who won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in 1964, in Tokyo, and who became known as "The Witches of the East". Also in the competition are first works such as Rosine Mbakam's "Les Prières de Delphine" about a young Cameroonian migrant, and Ephraim Asili's "The Inheritance", which focuses on a community of black artists and activists in West Philadelphia. in the United States.

The 18th edition of IndieLisboa is scheduled from 21 August to 6 September at Cinema São Jorge, Culturgest, Cinemateca Portuguesa and Cinema Ideal.
