With the name "maps: Nature", the project will be developed by Destinature - Agency for the Development of Nature Tourism, based in Fundão, and has a financing of around 300 thousand Euros.

Approved in the competition for the Cultural Programming in Network of the Center 2020, the project proposes to present some shows and develop other cultural proposals from the territory itself, namely from the natural areas of Sicó / Alvaiázere, Estrela Geopark, Lousã, Gardunha, Vouga- Caramulo, Aire e Candeeiros, Malcata, Açor, Côa Valley and Naturtejo Geopark.

"We don't want to take only closed proposals. We also want to go to the localities and build projects with the communities and the people who live there. We want the creators to be able to interact with those who are there", said the coordinator of Destinature, Miguel Vasco.

The project, he added, is scheduled to start in July and, if the pandemic situation allows it, it should also assert itself as a vehicle to help people become suspicious and enjoy nature and the public space, always within the rules defined by General Directorate of Health.

The format was specifically designed to be held outdoors, in an itinerant program that will last for ten weekends, along with the values ??of natural and cultural heritage of 12 municipalities.
