The operation seized 459 cannabis plants, 37,526 doses of cannabis, 48 doses of cocaine and four vehicles, according to a GNR communiqué, which also said the operation was carried out by the Santarém Territorial Command, through the Coruche Criminal Investigation Centre (NIC).
The GNR soldiers also seized 565 pounds sterling (about 659 Euros), 850 grívnias (Ukrainian currency) (about 26 Euros), 100 Euros in cash and various material related to the planting, germination, drying and sale of cannabis.
The operation took place on 9 March in Coruche, in the district of Santarém, and included the arrest of three men, aged between 30 and 37, following a search warrant to search the property where the drug was prepared, from germination to growing, drying and packaging for sale.
The detainees remain at the Guard premises until they are presented, on 11 March, to the Judicial Court of Santarém for first judicial questioning.
The operation was carried out by the Santarém Territorial Command, through the Coruche Criminal Investigation Centre (NIC).
The action also included the reinforcement of the criminal investigation structure of the Santarém Territorial Command, the Intervention Detachment (DI) of Santarém and the Transport Company of the General Secretariat of the Guard.
