João Cancelo (who recently left Manchester City in a move to Bayern Munich) and Cristiano Ronaldo (who went to Al Nassr, at 'zero cost') are both in the running.
Among the finalists, there are also two 'known faces' of Portuguese football. In this case, the former FC Porto Casemiro, who represents Manchester United, and the former Benfica player Enzo Fernández, who transferred to Chelsea in January.
The results of who will make the final 11 will be shared at the gala of The Best awards, which is scheduled for 27 February.
