“This campaign is applicable to pets (dogs and cats) over six months old and whose owners live in the municipality of Vila Velha de Ródão, aiming at a support of up to 100€ for each sterilized pet, including electronic identification”, states the municipality of Vila Velha de Ródão.

According to the municipality, citizens who wish to get this support must submit their application, from 10 to 20 August, at the help desk of the Vila Velha de Ródão City Council or email geral@cm-vvrodao.pt.

Candidates must fill in an application form that is available on the municipality's website or at the help desk, present proof of residence in the municipality of Vila Velha de Ródão (declaration issued by the Parish Council), card number of the applicant person's citizen or identity card and tax identification number.

They must also present the proof of electronic identification and registration in the Companion Animal Information System (SIAC) Registration database, if the animal is identified.

The pet sterilization campaign will take place between August and September.
