According to the National Maritime Authority (AMN), the incident which occurred yesterday, involved the vessel being left without propulsion.

"The 15 passengers were physically well and without the need for medical assistance, and the elements of the Maritime Police carried out their transportation to the marina of Portimão, with the help of another maritime-tourist vessel that was nearby" , reads an AMN statement released later that evening (26 October).

AMN also indicates that the two crew managed to recover the vessel's propulsion, allowing it to reach the marina of Portimão, where it will be subject to an evaluation.

The alert for the occurrence was given at 14:28, added AMN.
