According to the Association of Portuguese Hotels, losses could reach around 3.6 billion euros, while the number of nights spent in accommodation is down by almost 50 million. These projections come as 20 hotels, many of them part of large chains, closed their doors to guests in Porto in the first ten days of November due to dwindling demand.

The same thing is happening in about 1/2 of the U.S.
