The Algarve Health board said there is currently no record of mosquitoes infected with any of these diseases in the Algarve, because although the mosquito is found in the region, an infected specimen would first have to bite someone for cases to be flagged. Authorities ask for help to reduce dengue mosquitoes detected in the Algarve
Algarve health authorities have asked for local populations to collaborate with reducing breeding sites for invasive mosquitoes that transmit diseases such as dengue, yellow fever or zika, previously detected in Loulé and Faro.

If the authorities put face masks on all the mosquitoes then they wouldn't be able to bite anyone. Panic over.

i agree. or stop living for sure if we do that the mosquitos wont be able to survive and it will all be over.. just like the flu we are battling at the moment.
