The INSA also considers that the variants from South Africa and Brazil have a low circulation in Portugal.
Since April last year, INSA has been studying, in collaboration with the Gulbenkian Institute of Science (IGC), the genetic diversity of the new coronavirus with the main objective of determining its mutation profiles, which allows identifying the chains of transmission and new introductions of the virus in Portugal.
