The decision was announced after the European Medicines Agency admitted that there may be a chance of a link between this vaccine and the formation of rare blood clots.
The vaccination of teachers and school employees scheduled for this weekend was postponed by a week. Graça Freitas, director-general of Health, also explained that, for the time being, it is necessary to "wait for better knowledge" to know whether, whoever has already taken a dose of AstraZeneca, should take the second or not.
I'm over 60 I'm waiting to get the vaccine as family and friends have received the phifer vaccine.but I will refuse the AstraZeneca vaccine due it's blood clots issue! I also high confidence on Sputnik vaccine.gladly would take it!

Strange how journalism have scared people.
One in one million persons have maybe been affected by vaccine.
That wold be 10 in Portugal. If that was the only vaccine used.
17 000 have died from Covid19.
I received AZ for my first dose.
And I will happily take the second.

the AstraZeneca vaccine should only be given to people over 60 years of age,,, AND WHY ? am i not relevant in this world, to shorten my lifespan, to poison those no longer useful, i question everything, and why do i not have a choice, please give me a non mRNA vaccine because the EU vaccines rely on what’s known as messenger RNA (mRNA) technology, untested, unproven, what do you say to that!

Eric Clapton has been reported in recent news saying that the AstraZeneca jab had "disastrous side effects," and that he feared he would "never play again" after having it. I am a musician myself, and with the other worrying news I have seen about this vaccine, it has put me off receiving this.
