“Maintaining the current pandemic situation, which limits circulation between countries, most of the tours for the summer of 2021 are unfeasible, which forces us to postpone the festival to 2022", said the organisation.

Thus, the 14th edition of NOS Alive will take place from 6 to 9 July, 2022, at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, with no artists currently being confirmed.

As for tickets, the organisation explains that tickets purchased for the 2020 editions - which also did not happen because of Covid-19 - and 2021 are valid for 2022, but for the same corresponding days. "For example, if the ticket was for a Thursday, it will only be valid for the Thursday of 2022", explains the promoter. It will also be possible to exchange the ticket for another day "subject to availability, or for a voucher at the point of sale where it was purchased". The refund of the ticket price is only possible for those who purchased for the 2020 edition. It can be requested "within 14 working days after the date scheduled for the realisation of NOS Alive'21, at the point of sale where they were purchased, upon presentation of the ticket and proof of purchase ".

New tickets for the 2022 edition will go on sale from Monday, 24 May.

Due to restrictions to limit the spread of covid-19, the pandemic situation in other countries and the different vaccination rates, several music festivals have already been postponed, including ID No Limits and CoolJazz (both in Cascais), Rock in Rio Lisboa, Primavera Sound (Porto), Boom Festival (Idanha-a-Nova), Barroselas Metalfest and Gouveia Art Rock. However, there are other festivals that remain on the cards in Portugal, namely the Super Bock Super Rock (July, Sesimbra), the Sudoeste (August, Odemira) and Paredes de Coura (August, Viana do Castelo district).

According to the Government's 'easing of lockdown plan', the holding of "large outdoor and indoor events, subject to a defined capacity" has been permitted from 3 May, by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).
