Here at The Portugal News we are always looking for ways to better your experience with our services. With our online reader base growing bigger and bigger by the day, it was time for us to put our heads together and come up with ideas that would give our loyal readers what they deserve; free, trustworthy and easily accessible news and information.
For this purpose we have completely restructured, tweaked and polished up our website. Our main goal was to bring you an intuitive design that would make browsing, reading and finding articles easier than ever before. With new features like “Most Viewed” and “Popular” you can now effortlessly find articles that have piqued the interest of many of our readers and therefore may also be of interest you. Our sections at the top of our website have also received some love and attention and we are happy to present you with new things to explore while still maintaining some familiar items. Of course this is not all, but we want to give you the chance to discover some of it for yourself.
We have tried to improve wherever we could and to make our website as user-friendly as possible for everyone. This of course means that all of our new features and designs are also available for each of the languages that we offer online. We are proud to be able to tell you that now we publish our news in 10 additional languages; German, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Russian, Romanian, simplified Chinese and Turkish. It is important to us to be able to provide our news to a broad spectrum of people, because after all, we are all one.
To make it even easier for you to stay up to date we send out a newsletter that informs you about the most important and latest news, all in one place. Those already subscribed know that every now and again we will put a little something special in there, that you might not find out about otherwise. By now you surely noticed that we always want to improve every aspect of our service and so you can be sure that we have some exciting things in the pipeline for our newsletter too.
Needless to say, we didn’t stop there. We are also very present on our social media platforms where we also announce and show you things that you may have missed otherwise. Our Facebook (portugalnews) and Twitter (@theportugalnews) pages will keep you up to date on everything and anything, while our Linkedin (The Portugal News) mainly focuses on business news and things that are relevant for workers and business people. Our Instagram (@theportugalnews) is a little more fun and free, we love to show our followers what’s in the works and stories that they can expect to read soon, along with some beautiful pictures of the country that brings us all together; Portugal.

Let's just hope this is not just another case of a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing.
Unbiased, truth seeking, inclusive journalism is what is required.
Also as an English language news site, more emphasis on supporting the oft ignored expat community.

As an American who has visited Portugal annually for more than 20 years and who owns property in Vale da Telha, I am thrilled with the Portugal News. I have been able to keep up with the news when COVID restricted our annual visits and to feel connected. It is truly comforting and interesting and I ALWAYS learn something new and worthy. Keep it up!

Why have you removed the online tabloid version of the Portugal news. I enjoyed flicking through the pages and being able yo read it as a newspaper. Now I can only read such headlines as you choose to show in your newsletter . A retrogressive step, in my opinion
