According to the Department of Foreigners and Borders (SEF), the man was arrested for the crime of using false Italian documentation and for being in an irregular situation in the country and will now be brought to court.

Last weekend, SEF detained at Porto airport, during the document control carried out on a flight to Dublin, Ireland, a 24-year-old foreign citizen, who was trying to board using a false Italian identity card.

After a personal and luggage search, SEF elements discovered an Albanian passport, thus confirming the true identity of the passenger.

The man was detained by SEF inspectors for committing the crime of using false documentation, as well as for illegally staying in Portugal.
