There is no cure for polio, it can only be prevented. Polio vaccine, given multiple times, can protect a child for life. As long as a single child remains infected, children in all countries are at risk of contracting polio. Failure to eradicate polio from these last remaining strongholds could result in as many as 200,000 new cases every year, within 10 years, all over the world.

Join us to help eradicate this disease by either taking part in the cycle ride, sponsoring a rider or just making a donation. All funds raised will be matched 2 to 1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The ride will start from Estoi Palace Pousada at 9.30 am on Sunday, 21st November and will take about 2.5-3 hours and will finish at a café in Estoi. It will be a mix of flat and hill terrain.
