According to information available on the official site of Afro Nation Portugal on Instagram, the festival returns to Portimão on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of July 2022.

The festival line up for 2022 includes Megan Thee Stallion, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Beenie Man, C4Pedro, Diamon Platnumz and Nelson Freitas, among others.

Afro Nation Portugal took place for the first time in 2019, in Praia da Rocha, in Portimão, welcoming more than 25,000 people mainly from the United Kingdom.

The 2020 and 2021 editions did not take place due to restrictions imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
