“We still don't know what will happen in 2022, namely what the fourth dose will be, in what format the fourth dose will be and how it can be given or even if it will be necessary. Now we have to be prepared for all eventualities and I believe it is important for us to think, discuss and plan for the future”.
António Costa, has said that Portugal had already asked for vaccines for an eventual fourth dose. These inoculations, he explained, will be available starting in the spring and will soon be prepared for the new Covid-19 variant, Omicron.
Regarding the vaccination of the third dose, Serras Lopes considered that "it is running at the expected pace".
My Goodness. When will you go to the 5th and 6th and even 10th jab? This Omicron is like the flu and people recover in 2 to 3 days like the flu. Why the fear mongering. The Media is to blame for this nonsense. The South African Doctors say that there are no deaths and no people in hospital with Omicron. It should be called Moronic...

The comment of NN is dangerous. South Africa, like all African countries, has a very young population, and about 50 % of them have already natural protection due to earlier exposure to Covid. The situation in Portugal is quite the opposite,
the consequences of Omicron are not known yet, and to call it a flue is nonsense.

Ladies and gentlemen, line up line up! Injections for everyone, forever! You will never get a runny nose! You will never catch a cold or suffer from a mild flu! Remember the crazy times of aspirin and paracetamol? Well, now we have this fantastic inoculation! Only every 4-6 months, straight into your arm, and you will live forever! Come closer, but not to close! (whispers: It still doesn't stop infection)
Get your injection today!!!

5.4m dead, DD. This is not a flu and to say we should resolve it with paracetamol and aspirin is completely ridiculous. Even the flu, which has a death rate a fraction of covid, we inoculate people annually. To vaccinate is not just to stop deaths / infections but to help protect the capacity at hospitals, so they can look after us whatever condition we enter with.

OK so I am confused!?! The original vaccine targets Delta, the booster targets Delta, but the "doctors" are saying it's effective against Omincron. And further the first two vaccines you got, mean nothing at this point. AND now it seems over 70% of new cases are Omincron ... Delta just seems to have miraculously gone away?? But if the current booster is advised for combat against this new Omnicron why are they talking about a 4th vaccine that targets this new variant? Why ...MONEY and control! Further all the talk about herd immunity ...well that didn't work for many countries either did it with the so called 70% or higher of the population vaccinated (Portugal being one). Oh and the effectiveness of the vaccine being like 95% ...hmm that theory is out the window too! When are you going to Wake UP?

To sum up, quoting ‘Einstein’ theory ,,,,, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”…

Dear NN, I wish people would grasp the simple fact that the severity of the variant is irrelevant in terms of vaccinations and restrictions, which are primarily to protect the health services; so that if you, for example, have a traffic accident or a heart attack and need urgent care you won't be left waiting on a trolley for hours and perhaps die before treatment.

If people want to travel, example South America the second or third dose must not be more than 270 days old, so unless this changes Portugal needs to offer it through the Saudes or private practices.
