This week, below the maximum level are the municipalities of Alfândega da Fé, with 864 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants), Celorico da Beira (937), Fafe (792), Felgueiras (848), Castanheira de Pera (737), Freixo de Espada à Cinta (556), Meda (831), Miranda do Douro (503), Moimenta da Beira (896), Paços de Ferreira (851), Montalegre (822), Penedono (661), Lousada (711), Murça ( 759), Porto Moniz (779), Vieira do Minho (908), Vimioso (227), Vinhais (736) and Vizela (916), as per the daily report on the situation of Covid-19 in Portugal.
According to the report, among the remaining 289 municipalities with the highest incidence, the municipalities of Angra do Heroísmo (4,646), Calheta (4,590), Corvo (4,468), Lagoa (4,129), Lajes do Pico (4,225) and Ponta Delgada (4,419), all in the Azores, Portalegre (4,978), Viana do Alentejo (4,817) and Odemira, with 4,077 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
In the explanatory note of the data by municipality, released in the DGS epidemiological bulletin, it is mentioned that "the cumulative incidence at 14 days of infection by SARS-CoV-2 corresponds to the quotient between the number of new confirmed cases in the 14 days prior to the moment of analysis and the estimated resident population, by county".
