The information is released on the internet portal of the Azorean executive, following statements by Clélio Meneses, on Tuesday.
According to the note, asked about the possibility of easing, already this week, the restrictive measures to combat Covid-19 in the Azores, imposed by the Health Authority, the regional secretary for Health and Sports admitted that this could happen “after analysis of the situation to be carried out by the next Government Council”.
“There is a decrease in cases, there is an increase in recoveries, there is a decrease in inpatients and we are, in fact, in a position where there are conditions for us to increasingly lighten the measures, until the normalisation that everyone wants”, acknowledged the holder for the Health Ministry in the Azores.
On the relief of measures, in particular, the official said that “there is a reference that is what happens in the rest of the national territory, in the sense of limiting the use of mask to interior spaces, but the Government Council will decide”.
