Tuesday, April 12 – Let’s Walk around the Funcho Reservoir
This walk takes you along the margins of the Funcho lake, some ups and downs and parts of the track are quite stony but the flora and views are spectacular!
10.00 am start – meet in the centre of Pedreira. Go north on the IC1 toward Lisbon and exit for Messines and Silves. Follow signs for Silves, after 2.5km there is a road to the right for Amorosa – turn here. Stay on this road, drive through Amorosa, pass a turn to the left for Vale Fuzeiros and 500m further you come to the hamlet of Pedreira and a crossroads, meet here – there is plenty of parking. Tuesday, April 19 – Let’s Walk from Santa Margarida, Alte
A 2 hour moderately easy walk through a varied landscape with some great views which everyone can enjoy!
10.00am start – meet in the centre of Sta. Margarida at the cafe by the Mercearia Rosa. Drive to Alte and at the roundabout turn into the village and take the first road to the left. Follow the road up passing the Alte Hotel and continue on until you arrive at the village. We suggest parking soon after and walking up to the Mercearia which is just along on the left.
