According to research by the holiday home search engine Holidu, the top beaches in Portugal have been ranked according to searches through Google.

1. Praia da Rocha – 12,100 searches per month

First in the ranking is Praia da Rocha. Considered to be “An essential destination for those looking for dream beaches, it offers an exciting and lively atmosphere, especially during the summer, with lots of water activities, impressive golden cliffs, bustling nightlife, and lots of good food to enjoy”.

2. Praia da Marinha – 12,100 searches per month

In second place we have Praia da Marinha. Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal and Europe through the European Best Destinations / EDEN European Destinations of Excellence.

3. Praia da Ursa – 9,900 searches per month

“Despite the very high number of researches, it remains an unexplored and wild beach, often cited as one of the most beautiful in the region. To get there, we advise you to bring a pair of trainers and don't be alarmed by the long and treacherous descent, we guarantee that it will be worth it”.

4. Praia da Comporta – 8,100 searches per month

“Comporta beach is in fourth position in the ranking. Comporta is known for its wild and unspoiled natural landscape, peaceful atmosphere and charming traditional villages. The magnificent beach, stretches along more than 60 km of coastline”.

5. Praia da Falésia – 6,600 searches per month

“Praia da Falésia is one of the best beaches in the Algarve. And even if you're not a beach lover, this one is definitely worth a visit”.

Concluding the rankings there is Praia dos Galapinhos – 6,600 searches per month, Praia da Luz – 6,600 searches per month, Praia da Samoqueira – 6,600 searches per month, Praia da Ribeira do Cavalo – 6,600 searches per month and finally Praia do Azibo – 5400 searches per month.
