According to a report by Jornal de Notícias, June was the month which saw the most revenue collected through the tax, totalling 4,033,026 euros, according to data provided by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC).

Global traffic has soared with the recovery in international travel, with the lifting of restrictions in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic reinforcing the growing trend this summer. However, the last months of 2021 also stand out, when the November and December accounts reached 2,502,664 euros and 2,327,256 euros, respectively.
