External markets accounted for 5.7 million overnight stays and
a year-on-year rise of 205.2%, according to INE.
Data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) indicate
that, in June, the tourist accommodation sector registered three million
guests, 85.4% more than in the same month of 2021.
The numbers show that both guests and overnight stays
surpassed July 2019, before the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, with increases
of 6.3% and 4.8%, respectively.
In that case those lucky people that have benefitted from this boom can pay towards the clean up of mass litter and filth left behind in our neighbourhoods,as a result of this.
The sight and stench of human faeces and loo paper all around our coast is disgusting.
The amount of plastic bottles, empty food packs, cans, used nappies.plastic bags and other litter is beyond an insult not only to our precious environment but to all those residents that live here.
Enough of take take take!
