The cross-sea bridge in Fujian Province is the second of its kind in the country. According to CGTN, the steel box girder at the connecting section is 72 metres long, 53 metres wide and 3.5 metres high and weighs 2197.2 tonnes. It is the widest steel box girder of the whole bridge and the widest steel box girder hoisted in China.
