According to INSA's weekly report on the evolution of Covid-19,
the average value of the Rt - which estimates the number of secondary cases of
infection resulting from each person carrying the virus - increased from 0.98
to 1.02 at the national level.
INSA also mentions that the average number of daily cases
for five days went from 2,468 to 2,642 at national level (2,477 on the
mainland), despite continuing to be one of the lowest numbers of infections
recorded throughout this year.
The highest average daily contagion occurred at the end of
January, when 49,795 cases were reported over an average of five days.
At the regional level, the data now released indicate that
the Rt is 0.98 in the Centre, while the remaining six regions have this
indicator above the threshold of 1, two more than in the previous week.
The North has an Rt of 1.03, Lisbon and the Tagus Valley of
1.03, the Alentejo of 1.04, the Algarve of 1.07, the Azores of 1.18 and Madeira
of 1.33.
Last paragraph-the proportion of infections and the “amount” of tourists- it´s easily correlated, lol

Why is this even a discussion anymore? We dont rate cold of flu infections. So why are we rating a weak relatively non lethal variant, which now has a lower mortality rate than the flu. Pandemic is over, stop trying to scare people for nothing.
